It seems that everytime I leave them alone, they fall asleep! j/k, that day we stayed up until very late at my parents' house and Alexis was very tired but eager to watch "Nemo" so they decided to watch it together while Alexis was finishing his bottle of milk and so... Alexis felt asleep, he loves reclining on Cameron's chest or the tummy every time they watch a movie together!

Like father like son (scary right?)
My belly: 25 weeks
I have just found a picture that I took when I was pregnant of Alexis at also 25 weeks! and I have to say that even though this belly seems big, with Alexis it was a lot bigger!!!! with this one though, I started showing a lot faster, by 2 months people at church started asking if I was pregnant b/c they could see a little bump! I am 27 1/2 weeks right now, so I am little late on posting this one, but I will try and post the 30 weeks picture the same week! I love my belly and I love my little girl already, she seems to get very excited every time she listens to Alexis' voice more than when I talk to her! so I know that she is going to be the loyal followers of my little crazy monster #1, which I believe is going to be fun b/c there is never a dull moment with my chubby!

Alexis is off the chart... again!
Today was Alexis' 1 1/2 appointment, more like his 1 and 7 months but oh well, and again the doctor says he is off the chart! the doctor also said that he made a huge jump in weight but then again it is also because he made a jump on his height. So he is just tall that is all. I just don't like the fact that he was born 19" and in a month he was 24", also born at 9 lbs and at a month he was 13.5 lbs! after being so little, length wise, and well... he was always heavy.. I can't believe that my baby has been looking like a toddler since he was about 5 months! I wish they stayed babies forever but I have to admit that it gets more fun as he grows to be around him. Anyway.... today's results: Height = 36", Weight = 31.5 lbs. But I love you so much Alexis! you are still my baby no matter how big you get.

It's a girl!!!
On Friday October 23, we found out that our baby is a girl! although; we kind of knew because there is a lady in church that she is never wrong when guessing the sexes of all the babies in our ward. She told me when I was about 6 1/2 weeks pregnant that it was going to be a girl... we are still really happy. We made a long list with about 25 names on Saturday 24 to decide the name of our girl even though we had already talked about an specific one since we were told by this sister that it was a girl. After 2 days we decided that our daughter's name is going to be Charlotte Yria, which it was the one that we talked about since the beginning. Charlotte sounds to us like this elegant, beautiful, gracious, and kind girl and Yria is my grandmother's nickname (she found out her real name when she was about 50 years old and it is horrible, Francisca) and also my mother's real name (she uses her nickname because she was always called Mineny by everyone since she was born). Yria means crystal cave and it is also the name of a princess in my country. Overall we are happy! I can't wait to meet my little girl and have her in my arms. At the same time I feel sorry for her because her brother is nuts and I fear for her sanity! LOL. Alexis kissed my belly a couple of times and he calls the belly Poo poo! not so good but it is a start! I thought he was trying to say "Panza" which is belly but then he saw a picture of a baby in a magazine I was reading and he pointed at it and said: "Poo Poo!" and he laughed really hard for few minutes, after that I was scared that he would call every baby like that at church but he luckily he only calls Charlotte, Poo Poo. It is so good to see that brother-sister relationship develop before she is even out in the cruel world with Alexis!!! I know he is going to teach her well... or at least I would like to think so. I also hope I get to love her as much as I love my little monster (Alexis) and feel, at least a little, like my Heavenly Father does; so many sons and daughters and he loves us the same. I truly love being a mother and to be trusted with these spirits so that they can come back to Him one day!

Blair Witch baby style
So Alexis is now able to take pictures with our camera! Thankfully he hasn't broken it yet. (But i have had to clean the lens off a few times). He also has a knack for film making, it seems. Here's some of his best outtakes:

A test....
So I took the pregnancy test after 2 1/2 months of missed period! and of course is positive, I have no symptoms at all just that I am really sensitive and I cry with and for anything that I see or hear but other than that, I have nothing and that is why I still can't believe I am pregnant. I haven't gone to the doctor yet b/c I just found out so I guess I will see how far I really am once I go to the doctor!!!! Hopefully is not a false result even though I took it twice b/c I was skeptical about it. But I guess we'll see!!!! We are really excited though for a little number 2 on the way and of course Alexis is too??? well, we don't know but when he saw us hugging and kissing he started clapping and saying "so big" so I guess he feels the emotions :). We'll keep everyone posted!

Innocent prayers!
Alexis is praying, well... he is being doing for a couple of months if not more now! he clasps his hands together, bows his head and says lots of funny words, then he ends up with an "abban" which is amen obviously. We love that every night before putting him to bed and after reading to him he does this as a routine. He is such a smart little guy! We love him soooo much! and he awakens the desire on us to be better people, he is talking a lot more but since we speak to him in spanish and english we are unable to understand him very well but I guess that is how a bilingual kid grows. Soon we'll post a video of him "talking" I guess you could say? and more pictures of him.

Happy B-Day Cameron!!!!
I just wanted to post this for the best husband in the world: I love you honey and even though you might be a little old for me (3 years apart is a HUGE difference) you will always be a hero for Alexis (and you guys are 24 years apart) so have some hope and don't feel old!!! I hope to share many more old years with you, and by the way, I can't tell that you are 25 already but after all; LOVE is BLIND, j/k. I can't wait to grow oldER with you, You are not only the best husband but also the best daddy in the world, but I guess you'll have to ask Alexis... or better not ask him that yet! Love you and enjoy your day.... Your little family!... SM

No license...
This is one of the presents Alexis got for his 1st Birthday.
And then people wonder why they have to pass a test so they can drive!!!
Here's his first road test, err tennis court test...
It's amazing that he's already a year old! We've loved every minute of it. We can't wait for everything else that is coming our way and we're ready to do it all over again :)
In the comments tell us how you felt when your child turned one. Or tell us about his/her first driving adventure.

Robot Alexis
This the result of our first human-to-robot experiments. Factoring in all the research and funding that went into this, we consider it a success.

Alexis' laugh!
Is cute to see him laughing the way he does, and the best part is that he is laughing like that the whole day. We have nothing to complain about our son, we feel very blessed and he's almost a year now!!!

Playing the sandwich
Cameron and Alexis love this activity, Alexis laughs and laughs everytime is about to be attacked and even more while he is being attacked but then later you can see the look on his face and the lip that says... "now is my turn to rule and attack mommy!" It is kinda of intimidating, don't you think?
Posing for mommy!

Oh yes, He's walking
Watch out cupboards and drawers, the Sutters' newest terror is now bipedal. Yes, that's right, Alexis has not only taken his first steps, but it has evolved to his primary method of transportation. However, keep your cool, because even though he can stand up by himself (I've seen him with my own two peepers), he doesn't. He crawls to the nearest take-off platform (aka anything that he can pull himself up on) and revs his engines. But enough talk, you want to see it ... uhh ... I mean him, in action so here he is:
[Shortly after I posted this, he started standing up by himself and now that is what he does every time. To quote Milexis: "I don't think I've seen him crawl today."]
His first day walking was January 17.
Moving on, we did an experiment with how we feed him, and well, the video says it all:
And last, but not least, we have to give a show out to Uncle Dan and Friend Elizabeth (soon to be Aunt Elizabeth. Yeah!) who came to visit us. Dan you probably won't see this, but maybe it's better that way...
So in the comments tell us what your biggest fears were when your children started walking. Do any of you have any fun experiences feeding your babies?
